The Goal
Captain Austin has been putting clients on fish across Tampa Bay, the Manatee River, and the Gulf of Mexico for over 20 years. From inshore light tackle and tarpon charters to nearshore runs and sightseeing tours, Wax'em Fishing Charters offers something for every angler and every occasion. But like a lot of owner-operated charter businesses, the digital side of things hadn't kept pace with the on-the-water experience. The goal was to build a website that felt as polished and trustworthy as the trips themselves, while also solving a real operational problem: giving the owner a way to manage bookings, availability, and client communications without relying on third-party platforms that take a cut and offer little flexibility.
Our Approach
We designed and developed a clean, conversion-focused website that captures the spirit of a day out on the water while making it simple for visitors to understand their charter options and book a trip. The site is organized around Wax'em's four core offerings: inshore, nearshore, tarpon, and sightseeing, giving each the space it deserves with clear descriptions, pricing, and calls to action.
What sets this project apart is the custom backend we built specifically for the business. Rather than patching together off-the-shelf booking tools, we built a tailored system that gives the owner full control over his availability, trip types, and client flow from one centralized place. It's a solution designed around how he actually runs his business, not the other way around.
The result is a site that works as hard as the captain does, bringing in new clients, reducing back-and-forth, and giving Wax'em a digital presence that matches the quality of every trip they run.
